Scheana Shay‘s lips were sealed about her husband’s betrayal for years… and it turns out she hinted at why days before the shocking reveal!

If you heard the bombshell news on Thursday, you know that the Vanderpump Rules alum revealed Brock Davies cheated while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon. According to an excerpt from her upcoming book, My Good Side, the personal trainer’s confession came after rumors swirled about him hooking up with their former friend/co-star Rachel Leviss during Scandoval in 2023. He didn’t cheat on Scheana with Rachel to be clear. No Scandavies. No, his affair happened two years before the massive controversy. When his wife was pregnant!!!

Scheana’s story goes: The couple was living in San Diego during the pandemic and expecting their first child together. Brock “was scared about being a father again,” and rather than being an adult and working through it, he had a “brief affair” with a woman he reconnected with at his F45 gym. Once the tryst ended, Brock didn’t own up to the betrayal right away. Instead, he acted like nothing happened. He even married Scheana afterward. And it wasn’t until Scandoval that he decided to come clean, and not because he suffered from a guilty conscience. Nope, he “was afraid” to get exposed! Ugh!

So, we know the reason Brock kept the affair a secret. But why didn’t Scheana say anything until now? He finally fessed up after filming for Season 10. So, the affair reveal could’ve been a big storyline for Scheana during Season 11, especially since it was hot off Scandoval!

Think about it — two friends, Scheana and Ariana Madix, coming together and dealing with the aftermath of massive betrayals! What a girl power moment. It would’ve been better than watching Scheana and Lala Kent go after Ariana that season — or the weird attempt at a Tom Sandoval redemption arc. So why not mention Brock’s affair? The former SUR waitress didn’t explain why in the excerpt. However, if you go back and listen to her podcast episode from last week, she hinted at the reason… and it’s kind of sad!

During last Friday’s episode of Scheananigans With Scheana Shay, the 40-year-old television personality was asked about “the biggest shock” in her book. She spoke cryptically at the time, replying:

“There are some things that I haven’t been as forthcoming about, maybe that I never corrected the narrative on or never shared my side of the story.”

Scheana shared that there were some things she was “afraid” to talk about due to the “perception” that she makes everything about her:

“I’ve thought, ‘If I tell people what I’m actually going through, then they’re gonna think I’m trying to take the attention off what someone else is going through.’ I think that perception of me [being self-involved] is what has held me back at times from opening up in the show or on the podcast.”

She thought if she aired her dirty laundry, people would get upset with her for trying to steal Ariana’s moment! And unfortunately, she’s not wrong…

Fans really do think she makes everything about herself! Even when it came to Scandoval! Or remember when Ariana got offered Dancing With the Stars over her? That’s the whole reason whenever something good or bad happens to someone else from the VPR or The Valley cast now, people comment, “Has anyone checked on Scheana?”

We’d like to think that given the upsetting details of Brock’s affair, the audience would’ve sided with her if she said something… But who knows? Maybe they wouldn’t even have believed her! Oof!

Scheana then noted that while “people think they know everything about” her, that is “100 percent” not true! And boy, we sure did not! How she kept it a secret for so long, we have no idea… Listen to the podcast moment (below):
